How EP Resets Mg-RE Alloys
EP (Electropulsing) is a rapid, electrically driven treatment that resets the microstructure of magnesium–rare earth (Mg-RE) alloys within about 40 seconds by passing controlled, high-density electric current pulses through the material.
As a result, Mg-RE alloys quickly recover from deformation-induced defects, achieving improved ductility, balanced strength, reduced anisotropy, and restored formability in seconds rather than hours.
